Dorothy M. Johnson, 87, of Sandfordville, died, August 10, 2012, at Massena Memorial Hospital. Calling hours will be Tuesday, August 14th , 1 – 3 PM, the funeral service will follow at 3 PM, Reverend Lee Sweeney and Elder Kenneth Ashley co-officiating, burial will in Campbell Cemetery, Flackville. Dorothy is survived by her sons, L. Newell and Patty Jo Johnson, Winthrop, Howard and Barbara Johnson and Wayne and Debbie Johnson all of Potsdam, a daughter in law Elizabeth Johnson of Massena, brothers Donald and Cynthia Johnson, Gouverneur, Ronald and Cindy Johnson, Ogdensburg, Robert and Shirley Johnson, Heuvelton, 13 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Paul Johnson, brothers, Charles and Allen Johnson, sisters, Edna Snyder and Alice Couglar, and a great grand daughter, Jessica Johnson. Dorothy was born on October 15, 1924 in the Town of Oswegatchie, the daughter of Sterling and Pearl McCrea Johnson. On June 30, 1941 she married Leonard O. Johnson, at the Methodist Parsonage in Brookdale; he predeceased her on July 2, 2006. Dorothy was a homemaker that loved to crochet, sew, knit, bake, make quilts and was known for her maple candy and butter. She was a member of the Community Church in Knapp Station and a past member of the Maple Producers Association. Donations can be made to the West Stockholm Fire Department, P.O.
