Elizabeth J. Montroy

Elizabeth J. Montroy, 81, of Lisbon, died, January 22, 2013, at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center. There will be a graveside service in the spring at Notre Dame Cemetery. Elizabeth is survived by her sons, Robert P. and his wife Victoria Montroy, Brunswick, GA, Matthew and wife Michelle Montroy, Heuvelton, daughters, Theresa and husband Ralph Kroger, Lisbon, Anna Marie and husband Richard Ladouceur, Lisbon, Sheila and husband Douglas Orchard, Watertown, Donna Jean Renwick, Cornwall, Ontario, brothers, Donald and wife Rosemary Joanette, Ogdensburg, Raymond Joanette, Henrietta, Anthony Joanette, Ogdensburg, sisters, Ann White, Massena, Sheila and her husband Robert Ormsby, FL, Linda Fortin, Ogdensburg, Carol and her husband Adrian Vielhauer, Ogdensburg, Bonnie Jean and her husband Lou Moro, Syracuse, Susan and her husband Theron Green, Morristown, 30 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, a companion Silas "Si" Hooper, Canton, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son Joseph Montroy, a brother, George Joanette, sisters, Mary LaRose and Alma White. Elizabeth was born on April 17, 1931 in Ogdensburg, the daughter of Albert and Ruth LeBeau Joanette. She married Robert Montroy on December 27, 1950, he died on October 1, 1954, she then married Kenneth Montroy on August 9, 1962, and he died on July 26, 2002. She was a homemaker and loved to go to garage sales and paint. Donations can be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of St. Lawrence Valley.
