OGDENSBURG-Funeral service for James J. Finley, 70, of Lost Village Road, Ogdensburg will be held on Wednesday February 8, 2017 at 4 p.m. at the LaRue & Pitcher Funeral Home, 324 New York Ave in Ogdensburg. A visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in the spring at the Pine Hill Cemetery, Eel Weir.
Arrangements are under the direction of LaRue & Pitcher Funeral Home.
James J. Finley was born on October 13, 1946 in Gouverneur, NY. He was the son of the late James A. and Ethel May (Stowell) Finley. He was a farmer for most of his life on the Finley Family Farm in Ogdensburg. He also worked as a logger for a period of time. James was a well traveled man, he loved the outdoors especially hunting and fishing.
He is survived by a son; Paul W. Finley of Watertown and his brother Charles “Chuck” Finley of Utica.
He is also survived by his extended family with whom he lived, Kimberly Finley, Travis Finley and his companion Robin Bogenschutz. Also survived by Maynard Finley and his companion Jean Hoyt, Carol Finley, Ron, Tom, Randy, Scott and Sheila Finley and Linda Blackburn.
